VDSL2 yeni bir teknoloji olması itibarı ile akıllarda hep soru işareti bırakmıştır.VDSL2, Teoride 16 ve 32 Mbit Download, 1 Mbit Upload hızlarına ulaşan, bakır telefon hatları üzerinden sağlanan bir servistir.

ADSL’ den farkı hata düzeltme yapmadan data aktarımına izin vermesi ile bilgisayar üzerinden ses ve görüntü taşınmasına izin vermektedir.Şuan halen araştırma aşamasında olması ve dataları uzun mesafelere taşıyamaması da aktif olarak satış ve kullanımına izin vermemektedir.

VDSL2 teknolojisini kullanabilmek için telefon hattınızın bağlı bulunduğu santrale maksimum kablo mesafesi 1500 mt olmaktadır.Bu teknolojiyi kullanmak için yeni bir modem edinmek zorundasınız.Elinizdeki mevcut xDSL modemler kullanılmamaktadır.

Piyasada şuan için HUAWEI isimli Çin üretimi bir modem bulunmaktadır.Modem arayüzü tamamen türkçe olup, mevcut ağ altyapısına tamamen uyum göstermektedir.

ADSL modeminizi network üzerinden çıkararak yerine VDSL2 Modeminizi takarak sorunsuz şekilde kullanabilirsiniz. HUAWEI modemin benim tespit edebildiğim tek handikapı Kablosuz ağının çok güçlü olmaması ve içerisinde DHCP adını verdiğimiz otomatik ip dağıtma servisi olmasına rağmen kablosuz kullanıcılara otomatik ip vermemesidir.

Yapılandırma ayarları çok hızlı ve basit şekilde yapılabilmekte olup, elinizdeki ADSL modemin sağladığı tüm yönetim imkanları ayrıntılı olarak sunulmaktadır.
